week2 task4

When I first started working at publix I was a little nervious because they are such a big store. They aren't like other grocery stores that offer only a few items they offer almost EVERYTHING that a person needs, and this mande it kinda nerv recking when customers would ask me things and I couldn't help them. But as the months went on I learned the pros and cons of the business and it helped me develop my social skills better.

I've learned how to handle thing in a diffrent way especially when it comes to rude people. It showd me how to manage money and take my time when doing something, and I really cant say that there has been anything negative that effected me at my job. i think that I am going to be there for a while untile I get board if it but that might not be too soon.

week 10 task 2

I think that I have great communication skills, because working at publix you have to communicate with customers on a regular basis. If your sills are off then customers mught like the way you addressed them and never return to the store. This causes a problem bwcause when you loose customers you loose business. On the other hand if they are great then the will enjoy you and your store thus causing your store to increase in business. Good skills are needed almost every where in the world and if you have tat then you should be fine.

Week 9: My Attitude Part 3

When ever I come across somebody who has had a rough day I try to leave them alone, because with the bad attitude that I have they might say something and I might just go off on them. So I really don't try and bother them just to keep trouble down. Now if you're having a good day then I more than likely will have a conversation with you. Just a little small talk to make the time go by faster. I can honestly say that I get alone with people who always have good attitudes. So those are the type of people I try to hang around.

Week 9: My Attitude Part 2

When I am on my job I always try to have a positive attitude. Really I can only have a positive attitude, because many types of people come in and out of my job constantly. When this happens I have to make sure that they are comfortable in the store and that everything is going alright. If I have a bad attitude then I am not going to be able to perform this correctly and then I would become un-employed. So when ever I am at work I always keep a good attitude because that’s what’s required of you in the job world. Unless you're something like a hit man or something.

Week 9:My Attitude Part 1

A lot of times when I have problems I react in a negative way. I believe that this is due t me not being able to control my anger the way that I should. I either curse and say forget it and don't do it or I just get made, and while doing to I have an attitude. Also in times that I have problems with otter people I really don’t want to talk about it I just get mad a let my anger handle it. This is not the correct way to handle things. In general I keep a good attitude but the smallest thing can turn that good into bad really fast.

Week 8 Task 3

Since I’ve been working at Publix I have learned allot dealing with being able to socialize with other people. My social skills have improved in many different ways, and also my communication skills have gotten better. The people at my job help me learn allot, because the majority of them are college students. They help me to understand what will be expected of me when I leave high school and start college. Many positive things are also introduced to me at my job. Things like how to handle a situation that may not be the easiest one to handle. Ways to stay calm and handle it in a better way.Along with positive there can be negatives, but at my job I can't say that there are any. At least not with me, we have n open door policy which means if you're having a problem you can talk with your manager about it. In the weeks to come I expect a promotion and to keep a good relationship with my managers that I have had since day one. My job is teaching me how to be an adult about things, and not to always look at the bad side of things.

Week 3

The five things that I could work on to take better notes are. Be prepared, stay on task, be on time, if I don’t understand something then ask the teacher for help, and review my notes from the previous class.

Week 3

The two problems that I have are being on time and being prepared. For some reason I can never be on time im either late or I just don't show up. This means that I miss what ever the teacher talked about for that day. Another problem I have is being prepare. Its like I just dont carry books, pens. or paper. I always just get it from other people. This makes it harder for me to be able to understand the material because if nobody can let me borrow anything then I cant take notes. I plan on trying to be on time and have my materials so that I can be able to learn what they are talking about.

Week6 Task3 Part 2

If I were in a situation were I became overwhelmed with obligations, I would do my best to make sure I get them done to the fullest,and if I thought that I was not able to get them done correctly then I would let a person in charge know. Even if I didnt like the situation then I would try and make the best of it. Nonthing is more important to a boss or teacher than to see how you handle things when they dont go your way. I would keep a positive attitude untile I have completed the tasks that i have been assigned.

Week6 Task3 Part 1 (Time Management)

There are many different ways that I could use the time management skill in my daily life. I could use it as a means of getting to school, work, and other important places on time. This would make me seem as if I am a dependable person, and can be trusted to be on time for things. My teachers and employers wouldn’t have to worry about me being on time, and would sympathetic to me if I say that I am going to be running late.

Week 1 task 2

An additional thing I think should be added is to never gie up. I think this should be added because alot of students give up when they cant get something the first time around. This means they wil never understand the correct way to solve the problem, and will have difficulties with it for mabe the rest of their life. Too many students have the attitude of well i cant get it so i will just give up or whatever.

Week 1 Task 1

I need to develop better study habits. Like taking good notes and reviewing the stuff I learned. i can understand the material while i am in the class, but when i et home I just don't apply it. I think that if I were to read over the matertial the night that i learned it then i wouldn't do o bad on the test. I usually dont see the notes again untile the day efor the test or the day of. This would help me alot better I think.
